I saw its website, so I went there with my wife and kids for weekend. Published rate was IDR 2 Million/ night (breakfast incl.), and I got 20% discount, so I paid around S$210 for a night.
First of all, its a new site, the Hotel is still under a project plan, and will be built soon. So, what available there is only the Highland Park Mongolian Camp (and 3 stories building where receptionist and restaurant are located).
The Mongolian Camp was launched about a year ago (Dec. 2010. It's basically six-square tent, enough for 4 adults (or 2 adults with 4 kids), built from bamboo as main construction, covered white plastic material on the outside and colorful fabrics on the inside, with marble floor including the bathroom.
My first impression when I got there : I have paid too much... It's definitely not a premiun camp as it says in its website... and it's absolutely not for S$210..!! Apart from LCD TV, you will easily notice that all other furnitures are cheap qualities. No wardrobe, no refrigerator. Thank God there are 4 sofa beds, so I didn't have to pay more for extra-bed. The good news is, the room and bathroom are nice and clean, coz its relatively new.
Then, the food...really nothing to write home about. The Nasi Goreng and Gado-Gado were just "ok", while the Noodle (both steam and fried) were just at "eat-able" level for the taste. And...they are not cheap.. I hope when the Hotel and Resort are ready and launched, they will hire a better chef.
All Staffs are friendly and helpful, though. and the playground is big enough for 1 medium size pool for kids, footsal area, flying fox (you have to pay for IDR 50k for this), and high rope. If they provide ATV on the site, it would be great.
Overall, this is a place I would never go there twice for that price. It's worth only half of it.
