Tapas Movida

Tapas and Churros, are well known appetisers which quickly come to mind when Spanish food is mentioned, and if you ever wanted to find out or try more dishes from this region, we suggest you pay a visit to Tapas Movida located in the culinary strip of Cipete Raya, wherein you can take pleasure in the variety of rich, delicious and traditional Spanish food.

Due to its geographical location, Spanish food is mostly influenced by Seafood, which is quite evident with the selection of calamari and grilled fish featured in Tapas Movida. But also you can’t ignore the delicious cold cuts that are available when you flip over to the Pinchos selections where you can choose from a selection of small bites such as the Montandito De Ternera Con Queso Azul Y Cebolla Carmelizada. For such a long name of the dish, it is actually a one bite dish of a slice of baguette topped with perfectly caramelised onions, a medium tenderloin and a cut of blue cheese on top. Very delicious and goes superb with a glass of Spanish house red wine.

For the main course, depending on the number of party you have, there is a large variety of main dishes that you can go for. Paella, the yellow saffron rice goodness that can satisfy a party of 4, is readily available at Tapas Movida and takes just 30 minutes to make compared to other places that seem to command a bit more time. There are also several ranges of Paellas available for you such as Chicken, Seafood, Black Squid Ink and even a Vegetarian one. We were recommended to try their fish dishes, and we chose the roast trout served in a white wine butter sauce that is just fresh and delectable. The trout is served whole (bones, head and tail) with chopped onions, parsley and asparagus wrapped in ham.

Tapas Movida has indoor and alfresco seating arrangements. The alfresco section is just perfect for outdoor dining as the ambience and decor draws inspiration from the famous Spanish landmark Park Guell. At night enjoy the romantic ambience inside with a candle lit dinner. Either way you won’t be disappointed!
