Holycow Steak By Chef Afit (CAMPSenopati)
Editorial Review
There is no doubt that Jakartans love their steak and competition for the 'Warung' type steak-houses are getting tough in this city! So far the winning concept of having affordable, delicious, imported and local steaks has been a huge success but only a handful of venues have hardcore fans willing to queue in the scorching sun just to get their knives carving on some red meat.
With its cute concept and Good variety of carnivorous options on their menu, Holycow Steak is one of the few shortlisted as favourites by budget steak enthusiasts, and in our opinion they soar amongst their peers and could give a few of the 'up-market' steak-houses a run for their money. Holycow Steak scores another thumbs up for their wagyu tenderloin (which hail from Japan; the others being from Australia) which is cooked to perfection, just the way that you have asked for; with simple seasoning of salt, pepper and also dried rosemary. You have your choice of Sirloin, Rib-Eye, Tenderloin and Rump and you can enjoy the steak with their house specialty homemade mushroom sauce which is rather creamy and similar to a chowder soup minus all the seafood. We also give high scores for their sides, especially the sautéed long beans cooked with a hint of fresh sautéed garlic. Meatballs are favourite choices among the young ones, and they are cooked well done or medium, depending on what you prefer and are juicy and slightly sweet thanks to the hint of rosemary.
A great place to hang out with co workers for lunch or on the weekends with your family, if you dont mind waiting in line.
