Editorial Review
Hankering for some Nasi Bakar, Nasi Kendurior, Nasi Garang Asam? Well if your office is in the Kuningan district, make sure you pop by Gula Merah at the Setiabudi One building. With an impressive list of traditional Sundanese favorites on offer, Gula Merah is packed during lunch time where people flock to try an array of hearty Indonesian food.
With delicious starters such as tahu telor, tahu kipas, tahu tempe bacam available for all you tofu lovers, I bid you good luck trying to finish off the main courses and being able to have the desserts, such as Es Campur.
Gula Merah's Rendang Daging Kacang Ijo and Ayam Bumbu Roejakare definitely the star dishes on their menu, followed closely by the scrumptious Mie Goreng Ebi. But we feel also that their Salty Fish (ikan asin) is just simply delightful and also worth a mention and even better, it accompanies most of the rice dishes at Gula Merah. The crispy salty and delicious fish makes you feel like you want to order a side dish of white rice because you just can't get enough of it. It is a good thing they don't serve cold beer at Gula Merah because it would have been a simple perfect combo, and you wouldnt really order anything else.
The best thing besides the amazing food and welcoming ambience of this venue is that they serve great deals on packet deals for 2 as well as for groups up to 8 people. They are just the best deals in town, perfect to share with your co-workers and family. The packages include small bites such as tahu kipas and gimbal urang which are accompanied by several choices of the main dishes with rice and soup.
