When we discuss the sophistication and originality of modern Chinese dishes, then the brand Paradise Group comes to mind. This group is the brainchild behind some of the most innovative Chinese restaurants in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
Thankfully, at Plaza Indonesia, we get to experience one of their most grandiose and award winning concept by far; Taste Paradise. The elaborate setting is a combination of modern elegance and classic sophistication. You get to dine in wide open spaces, while at the same time privately under a chandelier, or for more intimacy, try their elegant private rooms. The venue also extends to the Grand Hyatt Hotel, thus there are two entrances to this restaurant.
As for their menu, you can find classic and refined dishes such as Sharks' fin soup in Supreme broth, Birds' Nest and their signature dried 10 –head Australian Abalone in supreme abalone sauce. You also experience creative dishes such as a combination of Pan-Seared Foie Gras, Foie Gras Pate with Blueberry Reduction, Wasabi Mayonnaise Prawn paired with chilled Abalone or even sliced Peking duck.
Going through the pages of their menu, you will realise that they do not compromise on quality as they serve live seafood and import a lot of their seafood and meats. We definitely recommend their beef cheeks with garden greens and beef stock reduction. The tenderness of the beef and the slightly tangy star anise aroma is stunning.
The Peking duck is an obvious favourite and also at Taste Paradise they serve their Kailan vegetables with deliciously marinated jelly fish. They also serve opulent set menus that include Alaskan crabs, Shark’s fin and Abalone set and their classic signature dish set.
For their first-rate quality and ambience it won't be too easy on your wallet, but you definitely pay for excellent quality.
