Editorial Review
From outside, Mbok Limbok which opens for 24 hours looks like an ordinary eating stall. It is attached with a large dining tent so it's pretty recognizable by people around. Its strategic location right in front of the central Kuta makes Mbok Limbok is always crowded. Apparently it was my wrong allegations. Not nailed by its strategic place that makes visitors keep coming, but their yummy food had became a local's favorite.
Once inside, the place is not very visibly special. There are only a couple of seats with a pickup kitchen. If goes deeper, visitors can sit on a seat with wooden tables that have some unique crafting on it. Yes, there is a gallery that sells antiques made from wood from Lombok.
Mbok Limbok has a forte for any 'kalasan' menu. Their 'kremes' cuisine here also seems to be too tempting to taste. From chicken, duck, fish to tempe and tofu can be cooked into kremes and kalasan. Once served, it is really smell good. The chicken served on a clay bowl, and accompanied by steaming rice. The chicken so tender and well seeped. This is the sweet flavor for everybody who loving some Indonesian foods.
Do not forget to spice up your meal with 'sambal cobek' and 'lalapan' (fresh vegetables) consists of cabbage, cucumber, and boiled spinach. For extra point, lalapan served for free of charge. So, if you feel still not enough, grab it like it's fresh.
Few tips for those who want to come at Mbok Limbok. Better bring cash, because theres no availability for credit card and debit card services. On the bright side, Mbok Limbok opens for delivery service without any payment limit.
