Seminyak offers diners with a much more serene dining experience compared to Kuta and its neighbours. When you are in Bali, dinning al fresco is the best way to go and that is why La Sal would be a perfect place for those who enjoy long lunches and dinner out in the open. As soon as you enter La Sal you will instantly feel as though you were at home, in a beautiful candle lit garden.
The best way to start off your meal at one of the best Spanish restaurants in Bali, is with a variety of their tapas. Marinated Spanish olives, octopus vinaigrette and the delectable tortilla Espanola are all in the menu as well. Spanish cuisine does not require special ingredients, maybe an occasional use of saffron, but the main priority is how to accentuate all the natural taste from the juices of the meat and fresh ingredients.
As for their main courses, they are divided into 3 main selections, from the ocean, the land and also the char grill. La Sal's main courses can be said to be one of the most carefully planned menus presented to customers. How does whiter marlin fillet with herb crust and pumpkin gnocchi sound to you? Or, sinking your teeth into some twice-cooked lamb shoulder with tarragon juice served with baby vegetables and mashed potato. Setas Jugos con Alioli de Pimiento, just reading the menu heightens your craving! Explained in plain English, this is basically crunchy mushroom with red capsicum alioli. Simply bliss! Their goat cheese with cold cuts drizzled in honey and walnuts is equally divine.
They can even prepare a dish for you, conceived from their special grill, which includes New York Strip steak served with chorizo, roasted vegetables, pork and assortments which go really well with their excellent wine selection. However, if you are thinking of sharing your food, then you must try their ultimate specialty, Paella, which keeps bringing people back for more. If you are willing to wait, you can also try their amazing Black squid ink paella, dubbed the Black Pearl Paella which takes up to 30 minutes to prepare. Truly an extraordinary feast to remember!
To witness all these tantalizing flavors for yourself, you will have to make reservations beforehand, as La Sal is widely known and especially packed on the weekends.
