Editorial Review
La Lucciola is one of the most sought after places in Bali and like several established restaurants in Bali, it offers a variety of specials daily. Thus it is very unlikely for you to ever get bored, if you chose to dine there every day.
In addition to their wide menu, the tranquility boasts a great advantage over other bustling places. Lalucciola in Italian means firefly and when you visit this place during dinner with its open air and candle lit setting, you will understand the name surely fits the place. Trust us when we say that you will enjoy your meal peacefully distracted only by the beautiful natural scenery in front of you. The place is not air conditioned and usually this would dither customers from coming, especially in a tropical country. But what better way to enjoy your meal by having the fresh breeze over you.
Start light with their organic mixed green leaf salad tossed in cabernet shiraz vinaigrette. The bitter rocket leaves with the light vinaigrette sauce is truly savory to the senses. Following that you treat yourself to their famous dishes, the Cappellini with vongote, prawns, calamari and a generous portion of chilies and garlic is most probably their ultimate signature dish. Fresh seafood with a combination of perfectly cooked thin pasta in rich and very flavorful prawn stock and parsley will definitely knock your socks off. If you fancy a fried and battered dish we highly recommend the Fritto misto with scampi, king prawns and calamari. Well, and if you still have room for more? Another excellent dish is the Roast corn fed chicken breast with ricotta, herbs and pancetta on snow peas and mascarpone. Surprisingly the dish is not too heavy and the combination of the pancetta and ricotta stuffed in the chicken breast is fabulously good. Complement your amazing dining experience at La Lucciola with their delightful homemade gelato and sorbet. Simply Marvelous!
