Shabu Slim is a new concept of dining; we wouldn't categorize this as pure Japanese, yet it is a mix breed that originates from Sushi trains and Shabu- shabu dining styles. Except at Shabu Slim, you can ignore the color of plates on the conveyor belt, as this is just for pure decadence and enjoyment. So instead of checking out for prices, why not focus on conforming to your gluttony, that is eat as much as you want, but only for 90 minutes. We kid you not, they do time you from as soon as you enter and they will mention when time is up.
 
However, before you start gorging first things first, you must pick the broth from Chicken stock, Tom Yum, Red Hot soup or the Tom Yum Milk Soup. What is great about Shabu Slim is that even on the individual chairs, right in near the action, i.e the conveyor belt, each seat is equipped with a custom built-in shabu shabu pot. This means you can have all the broth to yourself without compromising on what your friends want. While you wait for your broth to arrive, indulge in the buffet style offerings of fried noodles, fried seafood cakes and some crackers.

Looking through the conveyor -belt, you can see that there are several different varieties of thinly sliced beef, chicken, tofu, fresh vegetables and a whole lot of fish and meat balls. A bit of a warning, make sure you are absolutely sure what you pick up as it would be catastrophic to put sushi into your broth or even eat raw fish cakes as the belt just keeps coming through with odd looking bits. You also see some random Korean and Japanese soft drinks going around the conveyor which are not part of the all you can eat package.

Prices are Rp. 150,000 ++ per person, and it is definitely worth giving it a try especially when you are famished.
