Upon entering the venue, you will understand why this place is named Damask and called a boutique restaurant, and this is because their choice of black and white Damask wallpapers and interior design makes you feel like you have just entered into either a very high end hair dressers' or your very wealthy aunt's living room. Thus, it is understandable why Damask, located opposite the Jakarta International School is a great venue for events or private parties.

The area is divided into 2 sections with a a cosy inside area where there is a DJ booth and also an outside area with comfortable couches and white rattan chairs and tables. Their menu is also a strong point why Damask Boutique is perfect for events, as it contains a mix of Asian and Western selections where all the dishes are executed to surely almost anyone's delight.

To start with they serve amazing finger foods that consist of Escargots, calamari, chicken wings, Lumpia, Bruschetta, to name a few. As for mains you get a selection of Asian and Western dishes. For those Asian flavours, try the Tom Yam Kung to Nasi Goreng Kampung. But what really got our appetites going was their creative sushi roll called the Damask Eruption, which is a california roll filled with shrimp and tako topped up with a generous portion of hand shredded crabsticks and spicy japanese mayo sauce.

For those of you yearning for more Western tastes, we recommend their grilled salmon topped with Sebastian Sauce and chateau potatoes. Their grilled beef tenderloin dish called the Tournedos Forestierre, comes drizzled in the cream glace de viande sauce is quite delicious as well. Their spaghetti Aglio Olio was a bit dry, but the kick of the chilli and the parmesan cheese surely did the trick.

Desserts selection are mostly western desserts such as classic american pie or apple pie ala mode. But there is something quite exotic as well such as the Lemongrass creme brulee that is just meant to be with the slightly burnt custard.

Overall, we must say you won't be disappointed with this venue.
