Since established in the Dutch colonial era, Maison Bogerijn which finally in 1975 changed its name to Braga Permai has been standing until now. Braga Permai is located right across Braga City Walk. From the outside, a red neon light radiates for Braga Permai. Braga Permai is placed in an old building that can be considered to be of one of cultural heritage along the way Braga Street. It has large dining room, but if you want to relax while enjoying the cool breeze air and see vehicles back forth try their al fresco seat.

Walk into Braga Permai, guests will be brought to the past colonial era in which Maison Bogerijn was filled with the elites from the colonial era. With photos and paintings are displayed on the wall. Visitors who come are also very diverse; there are young people and families. A group of elderly is also frequently seen to eat to reminisce with a flavor of the past will be retained in Braga Permai. For the first round, a warm plate of Bitter Ballen that really soft and tender filled with ragout excited me. That was so good. The pasta menu didn't come disappointing. Their homemade Fettuccini Carbonara has a soft texture and delicious cheesy taste. For those who like pizza, their Pizza Margaritha with a thin, crisp batter coated with melted cheese should not to be missed. Lekker!

The pivotal essences in Braga Permai are their ice cream and patisserie. Apparently, this is often missed by elderly visitors and foreign tourists. Their mesmerizing old school pastry, chocolate, and ice cream still become a top notch menu to order. Chicken Pastel, Klapertaart, Apple Pie, and Almond Speculaas are a must try for souvenirs.

If you want to just relax and unwind, Aston Braga has a series of homemade ice cream. I must say their ice creams are a champion here with sticky consistency and to die for. Rhum Raisin, one of their old mainstay ice creams served with a deluxe large portion in a coconut shell. The smell of rhum and a sprinkling of raisins could be a bone of contention. Also try their new ice cream menu Heavenly Bogerijn Ice Cream is nicely laid out like a parfait with strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream, strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, bananas, and a sprinkling of corn flakes. Machte!
